Makeup Look: I Wear Stars on Smokey Eyes

“Why I keep buying things that I don’t really need?” said to myself while trying to arrange my makeup storage.
Here is another collection of star-shaped glitters I got from Daiso and have not opened it yet. Why not to use them in some makeup creation!

The stars come in 6 different colors and thought that the gold ones would look nice on a dark olive green eyeshadow. Looked around and found the amazing MAC cosmetics Spellbinder eyeshadow in Cosmic ClashĀ . Spellbinder eyeshadows were limited edition last holiday season and I really wish they add them to their permanent collection because of their unique pigmentation and texture. They are magnetized loose pigments and with one sweep of the eyeshadow, I did this intense smokey eye look without any base or primer underneath!

To give a gradient smokey look I buffed the edges with a clean fluffy brush. For the more 3D glamorous look I added to the center of the eyelids some bronze shimmers by Makeup forever- Diamond Powder.

To apply the stars I used my finger tip to press them gently one by one over my lids. I loved to add also some gold circular-shape glitters got them from Daiso too. Completed the look with several coats of mascara and a pair of wispy eyelashes šŸ˜‰
Not to forget that this makeup look is inspired by my all time favorite makeup artist Linda Hallberg .. Would you wear this makeup look in real life?

Hope you like it!
Love Xx

makeup freckles trend 2017

New Makeup Trends in 2017: How To Fake Freckles?

They say ” Freckles are Angel kisses” .. but what if I am not that fortune to have them naturally and freckles are one of the biggest beauty trends of 2017?! No worries .. After I’ve just mastered the art of contouring and highlighting, I am sure any new trend won’t require that incredible skills ?. Probably with little makeup can get some faux freckles .. maybe a bit shimmery too šŸ˜‰

To add the little brownish dots over my cheeks and nose bridge, I started by priming my t-zone properly. Then applied a layer of foundation and set it with some powder.

For sketching the Faux Freckles you can opt for any makeup product you feel comfortable working with. My personal reference is liquid eyeliner for being easy to use by randomly dotting small flecks on the areas I want to add freckles to.

And to get more natural look I like the freckles to be in different sizes by adjusting the pressure of my hand.

The more you press on the skin, the bigger the freckle!!

And to add a twist to the normal freckles look I scattered some metallic freckles by using fine eyeliner brush and cream eyeshadow with metallic finish.

Lastly, I gently tap on my faux freckles with the tip of my fingers to blend them with the makeup underneath. I completed this look by bold dark chocolate lips and contrasting yellow eyelids ?

Here is the detailed breakdown of the makeup products I used:

  • Too Faced – Born This Way Foundation in light beige
  • Mac Cosmetics – blush in Cheek Pollen
  • NYX Cosmetics – Highlight And Contour Pro Palette
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills- The Artist palette eyeshadows Phresh and Orange you Fancy.
  • Loreal – False Lash Superstar Mascara
  • Maybelline – BROWprecise Fiber Volumizer
  • Kiko Milano – Super Colour Eyeliner 102
  • Makeup Forever – Aqua cream 12
  • NYX Cosmetics – Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Club Hopper

And that’s it for how to fake freckles! If you tried to follow this trend and have favorite technique or products to share, It would make me happy to hear your experience šŸ˜‰

glossy lids makeup trends 2017

New Makeup Trends in 2017: Glossy Lids

If you think that glossy lids are only for runways, you are definitely not aware of the latestĀ makeup trends in 2017! This year get ready to hit the street with glossy lids that look effortlessly attractive.

Wearing glossy lids can be really challenging especially in hot weather, where gloss can easily crease and eyelids start sticking to each other. Since it is a major trend this year and Kylie Jenner has amazingly pulled it off many times. I had to do my homework by testing new products and trying different techniques to make glossy eyelids more wearable and less sticky!

Glossy lids in two steps

Step One: The Base

Cream, liquid or gel formulas tend to deliver that glossy look best. Preferably if the shadow has aĀ metallic or shimmery finish.

Try to avoid powder eyeshadow! Once applying the gloss over, it starts to move and the eyeshadow separates under the gloss.

Step Two: The Gloss

Now It’s time to get glossy šŸ™‚ for that wet effect I wear lip gloss on my lids! when it comes to gloss I really have no preference in brands as long as it is clear and glossy.

I like to tap a bit of the gloss at the center of my eyelid. The trick here is to avoid the crease and apply a thin layer of the gloss to the lid. Some artists like to use lip balm to get that sheen look which is too less glossy for my liking.

The best part about this look is that it’s perfect for people who are not good at blending eyeshadows and still want to add colors and shine into their makeup looks. This look also is low-maintenance, so no worries if it creases this will make it look more artful and slightly undone šŸ˜‰

MAC Vamplify Lipgloss Review

Makeup Review: MAC Limited Edition Vamplify Lipgloss

Who said lip gloss is outdated?! To everyone’s surprise, lip glosses is back in a big way! All Makeup brands that we know are reformulating their gloss formula to be more pigmented and comfortable to wear for hours.

Mac Vamplify Lipgloss arrives in time for Fall 2015 in an array of gorgeous colors. According to MAC, it is their most dramatic lip gloss yet. Its formula is loaded with high-powered pigments that sparkle with shine. Vamplify gloss had a moisturizing effect on the lips, as a combination of natural oils – including coconut and sweet almond – is an essential part of its formula. This lip gloss has vivid shiny color that lasts for hours on the lips.

Mac Vamplify Lipgloss Review

I gave MAC new lip gloss formula a try for a good time. Part of the reasons to like this lip gloss was because there are so many shades to chose from. The Vamplify lip gloss comes in 17 different colors that range from subtle nudes to super bright pinks and purples.

In addition to being incredibly shiny and opaque, It is less sticky and tacky than their Lipglass. Another great aspect of this gloss is its applicator, it is long and wide enough to provide plentiful coverage in one swipe. while the tapered tip allows you to draw a precise line to contour your lips!

The only downside of the Vamplify lip gloss, is that It is limited edition and will only be around in the stores for few weeks. I really hope Mac decides to bring these into their permanent range.

MAC Fix + Review

Makeup Product Review: M.A.C Fix +

If you think that M.A.C Fix +Ā  is only used to fix your makeup, then you are totally wrong!

MAC Fix + ReviewWhy has this soothing moisturizing mist become a must-have Piece in every makeup artist kit and beauty guru bag?!

Fix + as M.A.C Cosmetics (from the collection of Prep + Prime), claims is anĀ aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, which is topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi.

The essential makeup productĀ  is a clear liquid with mild and gentle fragrance. It comes in a transparent plastic packaging with a black sprayer that has a lock securing the liquid fromĀ leaking which makes it travel friendly. Its sprayer gives out a nice mist that covers the entire face evenly with every spray.

There is also another version of the product available in small size (Sized to Go Fix +, 30 ml.), which is suitable for travel.

Few tips and tricks on how I use Fix +:

  • I use it on daily basis on my bare skin for hydrating and moisturizing. It doesn’t break my skin out and I feel my face is so relaxed, which I believe because of chamomile presence.
  • I mist my face before I start applying makeup, which helps my foundation to glide smoothly on my face, doing so allows the makeup to stay longer with a healthy glow.
  • It is always my last step of makeup specially when I feel myself A bit powdery. I mist it couple of times on my face letting the makeup to blend into my skin to get more natural look.
  • Fix + from MACM.A.C Fix +, makes weak pigmented or baked eyeshadow more vibrant and intense. Just sprayĀ your eyeshadow brush with Fix + before dipping it into the eyeshadow then apply it on your lid and see the miracle!
  • IĀ dilute thick makeup creamy products like concealerĀ and foundation.Ā Sometimes creamy products become thicker. The solution is simple just put some of the product on the back of your hand and spray it with Fix+. It will glide smoothy šŸ™‚

Overall, I am madly in love with M.A.C Fix +. It’s a perfect product for any kind of skin type and weather. It soothes my skin doesn’t make it greasy, or irritated in fact its the best product for dry skin beauties, acne prone and sensitive skin. Plus the considerably large quantity will last for a very long time!
